Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my coral arrives damaged or DOA (Dead on Arrival)?
In the rare event that a coral arrives DOA, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery with clear photos of the coral in its sealed container. Once verified, we will offer a replacement or store credit in line with our DOA policy.
Are your coral photos WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)?
Where stated, our listings are WYSIWYG — meaning you will receive the exact coral shown in the photograph. For non-WYSIWYG listings, you will receive a coral of similar size, colour, and quality to the example shown.
How are live corals shipped?
We ship all live corals using specialist overnight courier services to ensure they arrive quickly and safely. Corals are carefully packed in insulated boxes with heat or cold packs (depending on the season) to maintain stable temperatures during transit.
What lighting and water parameters do your corals require?
Most corals thrive in stable reef conditions:
-
Temperature: 24–26°C
-
Salinity: 1.025 specific gravity
-
pH: 8.1–8.4
-
Nitrate: <10ppm
-
Phosphate: <0.1ppm
Lighting and flow requirements vary by species, so please check the individual product description for guidance.
How should I acclimate my new coral?
We recommend floating the sealed container in your aquarium for 15–20 minutes to equalise temperature. Then gradually drip acclimate the coral using tank water for 30–45 minutes before placing it in your aquarium. Always avoid sudden changes in salinity, temperature, or lighting.
