Terms and Conditions for Sale of Live Coral Frags

​

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of live coral frags ("products") by Purbeck Polyps ("we", "our", or "us") through our website, online platforms, and direct sales. By placing an order, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Eligibility to Purchase

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order. By purchasing, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

2. Product Description

We make every effort to describe our coral frags accurately, including size, colouration, and number of polyps. However, due to the nature of live organisms, variations in colour, size, and growth pattern may occur, and photos are used for illustrative purposes only. Except for WYSIWYG ( what you see is what you get) products which are labelled as such. WYSIWYG listing will contain photos of the exact coral in question - however the colour and appearance may vary under different lighting.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase via the accepted payment methods provided at checkout.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • We ship live coral frags using Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm, to ensure next-day delivery.

  • Orders are dispatched in insulated packaging with 40-hour heat packs and secure coral transport containers.

  • Delivery is only guaranteed if someone is present to accept the package at the specified address. Failure to receive the parcel may result in coral stress or death, for which we cannot be held liable.

  • We do not ship outside of the UK unless explicitly agreed in writing.

  • we will not ship without a nominated day for delivery
     

5. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy

  • Claims for DOA corals must be supported with clear photographs of the coral in its original sealed container and submitted within 2 hours of the recorded delivery time.

  • If the claim is accepted, a replacement coral will be sent (subject to availability), or a refund issued.

  • No refunds or replacements will be made if the claim is submitted outside of the 2-hour window or if the coral has been removed from its original packaging.
     

6. Coral Health and Acclimation

  • Once the coral has been placed into your aquarium, we are not responsible for its condition, as we cannot control tank parameters, lighting, flow, handling, or compatibility.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to research proper coral acclimation and care procedures prior to purchase.
     

7. Returns and Cancellations

  • Due to the perishable nature of live corals, we do not accept returns.

  • Orders may only be cancelled prior to dispatch. Once shipped, the order is considered final and non-refundable unless covered by our DOA policy.
     

8. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for any damage, loss, or harm resulting from the use or misuse of our products.

  • We accept no liability for shipping delays, missed deliveries, or any resulting coral loss due to courier error or customer unavailability.
     

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and listings, including images, logos, text, and product descriptions, is the intellectual property of [Your Business Name] and may not be used or reproduced without written permission.
 

10. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be available on our website.
